This class is being held in a local park to allow opportunities for test shooting under real conditions.
You have your new DSLR (Digital Single Lens Reflex) or mirrorless camera and now you want to take your photography to a whole new level. You want to take stunning portraits of people with those softly blurred backgrounds. Or, maybe you want to shoot sports action photographs of your kids and want them to be tack sharp. Possibly, you are about to take a vacation of a lifetime and you want to bring back outstanding photographs for others to enjoy. This is WHY you bought that DSLR! To make better photographs!
In this class you will learn how Aperture works with Shutter Speed which works with your ISO and ultimately allows you to control Depth-Of-Feild.
This class will give you a thorough understanding of your camera’s creative exposure modes (Aperture/ Shutter Priority, and Manual), when you should use them and how they work. Getting the proper exposure is the most crucial aspect of photography; understanding the concepts taught in this class will allow you to pre-visualize your images and get what you intended every time.
The class is held outdoors starting at 9:00 am

You are ready for this class if:
You have taken the Digital Camera Advanced Basics class or similar or you have a DSLR and comfortable with the overall operation of your camera's menus, dials and buttons.
You will walk away with:
How to use your Aperture, Shutter Speed, and ISO to control Depth of Field.
How to shoot under low light conditions without flash.
How to make proper exposures for portraits, landscapes and sports.
How to compensate for your camera's metering system.
